Job Description

Job Title: Senior QA Engineer – Data Projects

Experience: 8–10 Years

Role Summary

We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer with strong expertise in data and analytics projects. The candidate should have hands-on experience validating ETL/ELT pipelines, data warehouses, and reporting layers, ensuring data accuracy, quality, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

Perform end-to-end data testing across ingestion, transformation, and analytics layers

Validate data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and business rules

Write complex SQL queries for source-to-target reconciliation

Test ETL/ELT pipelines and data warehouse solutions

Support UAT, regression testing, and release validation

Collaborate with Data Engineers, Architects, and Business teams

Document test cases, defects, and QA results

Required Skills

8–10 years of QA experience with strong focus on data projects

Excellent SQL skills

Experience with Data Warehouse / Data Lake testing

Hands-on exposure to ETL tools and cloud data platforms (Snowflake, etc.)

Knowledge of data modeling and SCD concepts

Familiar with Agile / Scrum methodologies

Good to Have

DBT testing experience

Data quality tools (Great Expectations, Soda, etc.)

BI testing (Power BI / Tableau)
