Job Summary

The Commissions Team Senior Executive will be responsible for accurately calculating and processing sales commissions for the sales team based on commission plans and sales performance. The Senior Executive will ensure timely and accurate payments to the sales team and provide support for commissions-related inquiries. Commissions Senior Executive should have strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of the team.

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Calculate sales commissions for individual sales representatives based on commission plans, sales performance, and applicable commission rates.
  • Review and verify sales data, including sales orders, contracts, and revenue reports, to ensure the accuracy of commission calculations.
  • Process commission payment advice accurately and in a timely manner, adhering to payment schedules and deadlines.
  • Administer and maintain commission plans in the Commissions tool, including updating commission rates, thresholds, and eligibility criteria as needed.
  • Communicate changes to commission plans to sales representatives and provide training and support on commission-related policies and procedures.
  • Reconcile commission payments and accounting records to ensure the accuracy and completeness of commission transactions.
  • Respond to inquiries from sales representatives regarding commission calculations, payments, and policies in a timely and professional manner.
  • Preparing of monthly and yearly accruals for Commission plans.
  • Preparing and posting of Commissions related journals and maintaining of Commission accounts balances.
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects and tasks as needed.
  • Automate & simplify processes for Commissions, measuring, and tracking metrics.
  • Support special projects as requested by senior management on a periodic basis.
  • Providing excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.

Essential Skills

  • Hold a Graduation/Postgraduate degree in Commerce with approximately 3-5 years of experience in the Finance function within the IT/Software Industry.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of accounting principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Prior exposure to working in a Shared Service environment is advantageous.

Top Skills -Must Have Types

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement.

Desirable Skills

Proficient in Excel Macros, with hands-on experience working with Oracle or any other ERP package, and exposure to Sales Commissions procedures
