Position: Senior Engineer (Techni-Commercial)
Segment: Telecom
Experience – 7 To 10 Years
Education – Diploma / B.Tech in Telecommunications / Electronics / Electrical / Civil
Location – Pune, Maharastra
Job Profile: The Telecom Project Engineer is responsible for the planning, execution, monitoring, and commercial management of telecom infrastructure projects. These projects include 4G/5G and solar site rollouts, telecom tower installations, fiber backbone deployment, and network expansion activities.
The role involves coordinating project activities from initiation to completion while ensuring adherence to project timelines, budget, safety standards, and quality requirements. The engineer will oversee site execution, monitor project progress, manage vendors, and handle commercial aspects such as cost control, vendor billing verification, and commercial coordination.
Additionally, the Telecom Project Engineer will collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and clients to ensure smooth project delivery and compliance with technical specifications and organizational standards.

Job Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Execution
- Plan and execute telecom infrastructure projects.
- Coordinate with design teams for tower layout, fiber routes, and equipment installation.
- Monitor project timelines and ensure completion as per schedule.
- Site Survey & Implementation
- Conduct site surveys and feasibility assessments.
- Supervise tower foundation, erection, and telecom equipment installation.
- Ensure compliance with engineering drawings and project specifications.
- Vendor & Contractor Management
- Manage contractors, subcontractors, and field teams.
- Ensure availability of manpower, materials, and equipment.
- Monitor contractor performance and productivity.
- Cost Estimation & Budget Control
- Prepare project cost estimates and BOQ (Bill of Quantity).
- Monitor project expenses and control budget overruns.
- Optimize project cost without affecting quality.
- Work Order & Billing
- Review work orders, rate approvals, and amendments.
- Verify contractor bills and certify invoices for payment processing.
- Track milestone-based billing and payment releases.
- Vendor Payment & Reconciliation
- Validate vendor bills against executed quantities.
- Coordinate with finance team for payment processing.
- Maintain records of debits, recoveries, and pending payments.
- Commercial Documentation
- Maintain contracts, work orders, BOQs, and project cost sheets.
- Support preparation of invoices and commercial submissions to clients.
- Maintain documentation required for audit and financial reconciliation.
- Quality & Safety Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with telecom standards and safety regulations.
- Conduct quality inspections during project execution.
- Ensure proper safety measures for tower erection and field work.
- Reporting & Documentation
- Submit daily/weekly project progress reports.
- Maintain site completion reports and as-built drawings.
- Provide data for project billing and financial closure.
