Job Description
As a Security Officer - Neighborhood Patrol Driver in Cincinnati, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will interact with shoppers and associates, provide clear communication, and document observations and/or concerns. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. At Allied Universal, you will bring agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity to every shift.

- Provide customer service to clients, team members, and shoppers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail sales floors, stock areas, parking lots, and perimeter areas to help to deter theft, vandalism, and other unwanted activity.
- Respond to alarms, disturbances, and other incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing assistance to staff and/or shoppers as needed and coordinating with local responders when required.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and key areas, verifying access where required and assisting with queue control, customer flow, and closing and opening routines per site-specific policy.
- Complete detailed written reports, activity logs, and incident documentation, and communicate observations and next steps to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
