Identity Governance & Administration (IGA) Engineer

The IGA Engineer will support enterprise Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) operations and compliance initiatives by ensuring appropriate user access controls, governance processes, and remediation activities across enterprise systems. The role focuses on access governance, lifecycle management, remediation coordination, and operational execution within the organization’s IAM/IGA platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Identity Governance & Access Reviews

  • Perform periodic identity and access reviews for users, roles, and groups across enterprise applications and systems.
  • Validate user entitlements and access rights against organizational policies, security standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Support access certification campaigns and periodic review cycles within established timelines.
  • Identify and flag inappropriate, excessive, or non-compliant access for remediation.

IGA Platform Operations

  • Perform hands-on operational activities within enterprise IGA/IAM platforms.
  • Utilize Okta Identity Governance and Access Management for access reviews, certification campaigns, and remediation tracking.
  • Support platform-based governance workflows including access approvals, revocations, and certification closures.

Identity Lifecycle Management (MAC)

  • Manage Joiner, Mover, and Leaver (JML) access lifecycle activities.
  • Track and process Moves, Adds, and Changes (MAC) requests in alignment with defined access governance procedures.
  • Ensure access accuracy and appropriate privilege assignment throughout employee lifecycle events.
  • Maintain audit-ready identity and access records.

Technical Remediation & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Perform technical remediation of identity and access governance issues identified through reviews and audits.
  • Coordinate remediation activities with application owners, system administrators, and business stakeholders.
  • Track remediation progress and ensure timely resolution of identified access risks.
  • Provide clear documentation of remediation actions.

Compliance & SLA Management

  • Operate within defined remediation SLAs and operational KPIs.
  • Follow established risk acceptance and exception management processes where remediation cannot be immediately executed.
  • Support identity governance activities aligned with internal audit, regulatory, and compliance requirements.

Operational Execution & Reporting

  • Execute tasks using defined ticketing systems and operational templates for request creation, assignment, tracking, and closure.
  • Participate in weekly or bi-weekly operational cadence meetings with internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Escalate risks, blockers, and dependencies in a timely manner.
  • Provide regular operational updates, reporting, and governance status to client or leadership teams.
