Job Description
Purpose : To oversee the development of cutting-edge designs for the assigned flagship commercial and residential projects across various regions, ensuring alignment with project objectives and business goals while focusing on innovation and efficiency thereby enhancing brand value in the market.
Principal Accountabilities

- Design Strategy and Budgeting - Continuously monitor global design trends and industry advancements to maintain a competitive edge. Contribute insights on market trends, customer preferences, and industry innovations to shape design vision and unique selling propositions aligned with the company's vision, while addressing the impact of climate change and incorporating local environmental factors. Review the budgets and submit for further review and approval to the Design Head.
- Design Management - Perform thorough Technical Due Diligence evaluations to assess project feasibility, and upon approval from the Design Head, submit findings to the Business Development team. Develop comprehensive Design Brief Documents for all projects, integrating inputs from various stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals and objectives. Coordinate and facilitate kick-off meetings with design consultants, providing detailed project requirements and expectations regarding design aspect. Review drawings received from regional teams, offering corrective feedback on concept, schematic, detailed drawings, and Good for Construction drawings. Conduct periodic quality audits of the drawings to ensure adherence to specifications during site execution. Create and maintain project dashboards, collating inputs from regional teams to monitor progress in terms of budgets, timelines, and efficiency. Review proposed changes in concept drawings and provide approval in consultation with the Design Head. Oversee documentation related to all drawings according to established processes and guidelines are maintained to ensure accuracy and accessibility. Ensure that all drawings related to the project comply with relevant regulatory standards and building codes. Lead comprehensive project management activities for interior, structural, MEP, facade designs in aspects like technical due diligence evaluations, design brief documents development, kick-off meetings coordination, and concept drawings review in collaboration with discipline lead to ensure alignment with project goals and objectives. Conduct site visits to ensure that the execution aligns with the drawings and oversee the incorporation of necessary adjustments as required.
- Consultant Management - Assist the Design Head in establishing criteria for selecting consultants based on expertise and project requirements. Float RFPs along with the design brief document for inviting quotes from consultants. Evaluate consultant proposals, conduct negotiations, and obtain sign-off and approval from relevant stakeholders for consultant appointments. Monitor and assess consultant performance, incorporating feedback from regional teams, and take appropriate actions for underperforming consultants with approval from the Design Head.
- Innovation and Efficiency Enhancement - Implement standardization initiatives across design processes and practices to ensure consistency and efficiency in project execution. Provide Value Engineering solutions at every stage of design development for cost-saving opportunities and enhance project value without compromising quality. Evaluate existing processes and workflows to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies, and develop solutions to optimize project delivery and performance. Research emerging technologies and propose their integration into projects in collaboration with the Design Head to enhance project capabilities. Conduct research on new materials, providing recommendations to the Design Head for their potential integration into design processes to enhance project outcomes.
- Risk Management - Identify potential risks associated with design decisions and project execution across all regions. Assess the impact of identified risks on project timelines, budgets, and quality across regions. Develop risk mitigation strategies and action plans to address identified risks. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of risk mitigation efforts throughout the project lifecycle across regions.
