Job Description

Site Head / Project Manager

Purpose: The Project Manager will be responsible for end-to-end execution of a utility-scale solar power project, ensuring delivery within scope, schedule, cost, and quality standards. The role requires strong leadership across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and stakeholder management while maintaining strict adherence to HSE and compliance requirements. Overall accountability for safety, schedule, cost, quality, and stakeholder relationships across pre-construction, construction, T&C, and handover phases.

Work Content & Scope

Mobilization strategy, fronts management, inter-disciplinary coordination.
Critical path monitoring, recovery plans, decision escalations.
Budget control, cash flow, cost-to-complete, KPI oversight.
Labour compliance oversight and audit readiness.

Key Responsibilities

Overall planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of the project
Single point interface with AGEL PMT, Contractor and Client
Control of schedule, cost, quality, HSE, and contractual obligations
Approval of execution strategies, deployment plans, and methodologies
Escalation management and resolution of critical issues
Ensuring statutory, contractual, and AGEL compliance
Lead master planning (L3/L4), set execution strategy, allocate resources.
Approve HSE/Quality Plans; ensure statutory and Principal Employer compliance.
Contract administration, risk/issue governance, changes/claims/EOT decisions.
Stakeholder management: AGEL PE, authorities, community, internal leadership.
Chair Daily Production, Weekly Progress, Monthly Steering reviews.

Function-wise Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution
Lead overall project execution from mobilization to commissioning and handover.
Develop and manage detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
Ensure adherence to contractual milestones and performance guarantees.
Coordinate EPC activities including engineering, procurement, construction, and testing.
Engineering & Technical Coordination
Review and approve engineering deliverables, layouts, and design changes.
Ensure compliance with grid codes, technical standards, and statutory norms.
Coordinate with consultants, OEMs, and design teams for technical alignment.
Procurement & Contract Management
Oversee procurement of modules, inverters, trackers, BOS, and balance contracts.
Monitor vendor performance, delivery schedules, and quality compliance.
Manage EPC subcontractors and resolve contractual and commercial issues.
Construction & Site Management
Supervise site execution to ensure productivity, quality, and safety.
Monitor daily progress, resource deployment, and construction sequencing.
Ensure implementation of QA/QC procedures and inspection plans.
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
Enforce Adani and statutory HSE policies across all project activities.
Conduct safety audits, toolbox talks, and risk assessments.
Ensure zero-harm culture at site.
Cost Control & Reporting
Track project costs, cash flow, and forecasts against approved budgets.
Prepare weekly/monthly progress reports for management and stakeholders.
Identify risks and implement mitigation plans proactively.
Stakeholder & Regulatory Management
Liaise with DISCOMs, transmission utilities, statutory authorities, and local bodies.
Support land, ROW, grid connectivity, and statutory approvals.
Represent the project in internal and external review meetings.
Commissioning & Handover
Lead testing, commissioning, and synchronization with the grid.
Ensure successful performance ratio (PR) and reliability runs.
Manage final documentation, as-built drawings, and project close-out.
