DevOps Engineer – London

Rate: £405 per day | Outside IR35

Location: London – 2 days onsite

Start Date: ASAP (March)

Initial Duration: 6 months, with likely extensions

We are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer to join a major API programme within a leading financial institution. This role will focus on setting standards for APIs across the bank and enabling the full API lifecycle, including publishing and consuming reusable APIs.

Key Responsibilities

Support the design, deployment, and management of reusable APIs across the bank.
Contribute to the creation and maintenance of a central API catalogue.
Enable teams to publish, consume, and integrate APIs effectively.
Provide guidance and technical expertise to the development team.
Collaborate with team members working on React (UI), Java Spring Boot, and Python.

Required Skills and Experience

Strong experience in DevOps practices and Python scripting.
Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
Previous experience in API development or integration projects.
Ability to advise and guide teams on technical best practices.
Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams including front-end and back-end developers.
