Role Overview
We are looking for passionate and target-driven Destination Experts who can convert travel inquiries into high-value bookings through consultative selling.
This is a revenue-generating sales role focused on designing customized itineraries, advising clients, and closing holiday packages.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Revenue Generation (Core)
- Handle inbound travel inquiries from website, ads, referrals, and walk-ins
- Consult clients to understand preferences, budget, and travel goals
- Recommend suitable destinations, routes, and experiences
- Design customized itineraries and quotations
- Convert leads into confirmed bookings
- Achieve monthly revenue and conversion targets
- Upsell premium hotels, experiences, and add-ons
- Maintain strong follow-up discipline until closure
Destination Expertise
- Develop deep knowledge of assigned destinations
- Advise clients on best seasons, visa requirements, and logistics
- Suggest unique experiences and value-added options
- Stay updated on travel trends, supplier offerings, and regulations
Customer Relationship Management
- Build trust and long-term relationships with clients
- Handle queries professionally via call, email, and WhatsApp
- Coordinate with operations team for seamless execution
- Encourage repeat bookings and referrals
Documentation & CRM
- Maintain accurate records of leads and interactions in CRM
- Ensure proper documentation for bookings
- Track pipeline and forecast sales
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Monthly revenue target
- Conversion rate (Lead → Booking)
- Average booking value
- Follow-up effectiveness
- Customer satisfaction & repeat business
Candidate Profile
Education & Experience
- Graduate in any discipline
- 1–5+ years experience in travel sales / holiday consulting
- Experience selling international packages preferred
Skills & Competencies
✔ Strong sales and persuasion skills
✔ Excellent communication (English & Hindi required)
✔ Bengali preferred (for Kolkata market)
✔ Customer-centric approach
✔ Ability to handle high-value clients
✔ Strong negotiation skills
✔ Organized and detail-oriented
✔ Ability to work under targets and deadlines
Preferred Background
- Travel agency or tour operator experience
- Experience with customized holiday packages
- Knowledge of global destinations (Europe, Japan, Southeast Asia, etc.)
- Familiarity with GDS/booking tools is a plus
