Job Title: Data I/O Operator
Overview
Data I/O (“Incoming and Outgoing”) operators work with clients to receive media files (audio, video, subtitles) and to manage them on the network and archive them when work is completed. This is a great opportunity for someone who is team-oriented, technically skilled, systems-oriented, and has an overall "Roll Up Your Sleeves" approach to troubleshooting.

Overview
Data I/O (“Incoming and Outgoing”) operators work with clients to receive media files (audio, video, subtitles) and to manage them on the network and archive them when work is completed. This is a great opportunity for someone who is team-oriented, technically skilled, systems-oriented, and has an overall "Roll Up Your Sleeves" approach to troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
- Access video incoming/outgoing files using file transfer clients such as Aspera, Signiant, S3
- Manage files and data on the server in an efficient and timely manner.
- Perform quality control on incoming video assets against a given specification.
- Address and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Communicate with internal departments (QC, Project Management, Tech, etc.)
- Willingness to learn and undertake additional department duties as required
- Experience in a post-production of media environment.
- Knowledge of digital delivery platforms such as Aspera, Signiant, S3.
- Familiarity with metadata / XML creation and verification, digital packaging and quality control processes.
- Results-oriented with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of audio/video, physical and file formats and electronic delivery platforms.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and workflows.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
