Job Description

Job Title: Costing / Estimation Manager

Location: Bhiwandi

Department: Estimation / Costing

Reporting To: Factory Head / Director

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates for modular steel furniture projects, including raw materials, labour, overheads, and subcontracting.
Analyse technical drawings and specifications to determine accurate costings.
Develop and maintain cost databases for materials, labour rates, and manufacturing processes.
Collaborate with design, production, purchase, and sales teams for accurate and competitive costing.
Evaluate cost-saving opportunities and support pricing strategies for tenders and client proposals.
Monitor actual production costs vs. estimated costs, analyse variances, and recommend corrective actions.
Prepare costing reports and present insights to senior management.
Ensure compliance with company costing policies and industry best practices.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production, or relevant field.
Minimum 5–8 years of experience in costing and estimation in furniture, metal fabrication, or manufacturing industry.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, material costing, and estimation techniques.
Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and costing software.
