AET Member - S Kaldo & Granulation Operations

The AET member for the S Kaldo Furnace is responsible for supervising and coordinating all furnace operations during their shift. This role ensures smooth, safe, and efficient smelting of PCB scrap or other specified materials, managing operators, maintaining process control, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Safety & Compliance: Safety Work Permit System: Enforce strict compliance with the plant’s Work Permit System for all maintenance and non-routine activities (e.g., hot work, confined space entry, electrical isolation). Verify permits are issued, authorized, and closed properly per SOPs, HIRA,JSA,TBT

Furnace Operation Oversight: Oversee operation of the S Kaldo furnace including feeding, combustion, smelting, and slagging processes. Monitor key process parameters (temperature, pressure, oxygen levels, feed rates) via control systems. Coordinate adjustments to optimize furnace performance and metal yield.

Equipment Management & Coordination: Ensure readiness and availability of all critical equipment, including: Furnace burners, feeding lance, and refractory linings. Ladles, Forklift, impactor and hydraulic systems, cooling water systems, utilites oxygen and LNG. Coordinate with maintenance and refractory teams for routine checks, breakdowns, and preventive maintenance tasks. Ensure cranes, hoists, and handling systems are operated safely and efficiently.

Shift Supervision & AET Team : Lead, supervise, and guide furnace and crane operators, and helpers on shift. Conduct shift AET meetings, assign tasks, and ensure proper shift handover with logging of key issues.

Process Control & Reporting: Monitor key process parameters and make decisions to ensure steady-state operations. Record and report: Furnace tapping times and metal quantities. Equipment status and downtime. Any safety incidents or near misses.Communicate effectively with upstream (Preprocessing and downstream (R kaldo, WHB, Offgas treatment) teams.
