Scope:
As the Vertical Finance officer, you will be the finance & commercial excellence advisor to the Global
Business Head/SCPs, in giving strategies & drill down specific goals to VBU/VAG units to improve price
realization by 5% ever year and to improve the profitability of each VBU/VAG in the Vertical. In this role,
you will have the unique opportunity to drive the culture change towards financial management of
business, identify and drive initiatives to improve overall business performance and drive profitable
business growth of their businesses. With a high level of business acumen, your key responsibilities will
include:
• To enhance the performance and agility of the verticals. Identify opportunities/ideas to double
the target on business performance and drive initiatives to deliver desired results.
• Identify profit zones & Investment zones for the vertical and each of its major
customers. Collaborate on expansion strategy.
• Participate in yearly StraP workouts to share profit ideas
• Provide P&L insights to generate profitable growth (margin expansion with scaling of business)

Candidate Profile:
• The individual is expected to gain full understanding of the performance of the business drivers,
vertical/geography specific market factors, spot the profit zones to become the Finance partner
• She/he must be a self-starter, reasonably well known on their negotiation & influencing skills and
building senior level relationships.
• Basic understanding of the P&L, cash flows and capex accounting
• In this role, the person will work effectively with Quest’s Executive Management and Virtual
Business Units (VBUs) functions.
• Understand Quest’s value proposition and differentiators.
• Flexibility and leadership to take-on other special projects as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
• Proven 10-12 years of experience in IT/ER&D services industry
• In-depth understanding of how pricing and commercial issues affect organization
• In-depth understanding of how pricing and commercial negotiation strategy is devised and
implemented
• Proven ability to learn emerging trends in the sector for its impact on pricing strategy
• Good understanding of pricing, costing, discount structures, terms and conditions.
• Experience in authoring complex models; experienced in negotiating master service contracts and
long-term agreements.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills, both verbal and written and ability
to communicate effectively at all levels.
• Results driven, high energy, self-motivated, persistent and able to work independently.
• Decisive, analytical, strategic thinker.
• Ability to simultaneously manage people and prioritize multiple requests even without direct
reporting.
• Experience in leading and winning large business deals within engineering service industry is ideal.
• Significant overnight domestic and international travel will be required.
