Job Roles & Responsibilities

Veeva CDMS -

Veeva Vault CDMS knowledge: Deep understanding of Vault EDC, Vault Coder, and Vault Data

Workbench.

CDMS programming: Experience with edit checks, rules, and custom functions within Veeva.

JavaScript: Used for rule programming in Veeva Vault CDMS.

SQL: For querying and validating clinical data, especially in downstream systems.

API integration: Familiarity with Veeva Vault APIs for automation and data exchange.

Veeva CDB

Veeva CDB platform expertise: Understanding of how CDB ingests, transforms, and

visualizes clinical data from Vault EDC and external sources.

CQL (Clinical Query Language): Proficiency in writing queries using Veeva’s proprietary

SQL-like language to extract and manipulate data.

Data transformation logic: Ability to create derivations, mappings, and calculated fields

within CDB.

JSON/XML: Familiarity with data formats used for importing/exporting data and metadata.

Data Workbench: Experience with Veeva’s Data Workbench for managing and reviewing

data pipelines.

Automation & Reporting

Automated data loads: Knowledge of configuring and troubleshooting automated data ingestion.

Custom reports and dashboards: Building visualizations and reports for clinical teams using CDB tools.

API usage: Familiarity with Veeva Vault APIs for data extraction and automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree Computer/life science or related field Req
• Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience Required
• Equivalent combination of education, training and experience Req
• Solid understanding of clinical drug development process (strong clinical domain knowledge)
• Excellent organizational, communication, and technical database skills
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers and clients
