Supplier / Customer Quality Engineer

Are you ready to support the System Solutions (Condensing Units) organization in India and collaborate closely with global finished product suppliers and Danfoss customers to drive quality excellence? In this role, you will leverage your technical expertise and strong problem-solving skills to support existing products and ensure consistently high quality standards.

As a Global Customer / Supplier Quality Engineer, you will utilize your extensive experience and in-depth knowledge to lead supplier quality processes, including supplier evaluation and development, within an international environment. You will identify the most effective solutions, establish robust process standards, and ensure that quality is never compromised.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Ensure the quality of both Danfoss-manufactured and externally sourced finished products.
• Actively participate in new product development (NPD) projects to secure quality from the early stages.
• Manage and facilitate customer and supplier claim handling processes in a timely and structured manner.
• Lead root cause analysis and problem-solving activities within international and cross-functional teams.
• Support Sales and Application Engineers in enhancing overall customer experience.
• Drive quality improvement initiatives at supplier locations to ensure stable and consistent output.
• Establish, maintain, and ensure adherence to quality systems and standards.
• Validate product and production process development outcomes in line with Danfoss Part Approval Process (SPPAP) requirements.
• Follow up on corrective and preventive actions arising from audits, non-conformity cost reports, and 8D investigations.
• Control quality documentation and records while contributing to global quality improvement projects.
• Conduct technical audits at supplier sites, participate in supplier development activities, and visit customer locations as required.
  
  

What We're Looking For

• Graduate in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality role within the manufacturing industry.
• Prior experience in HVAC products such as condensing units, compressors, heat exchangers, etc., is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of 8D methodology, APQP, Quality Core Tools, and familiarity with ISO 9001 and/or IATF 16949 standards.
• Structured and methodical approach to problem-solving, utilizing tools such as 8D, FTA, FMEA, etc.
• Experience in conducting internal and supplier audits; certification as an IATF or ISO 9001 auditor will be an added advantage.
• Demonstrated project management skills, should be self-motivated, analytical, well-organized, customer-focused, and results-driven.
• Fluent in written and spoken English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build effective networks and collaborative relationships.
• High cultural awareness with the ability to adapt communication styles based on the situation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) and statistical software such as Minitab.
• Willingness to travel as required (approximately 15%).
