Studio Operations Manager

Full-time | On-site | Nagpur


We are looking for a highly organized and dependable Studio Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day functioning of our fashion studio. The role involves managing production flow, coordinating with the tailoring team, sourcing fabrics and materials, and ensuring smooth execution of orders from start to finish.


This role requires regular fabric sourcing from local markets and suppliers.


This is a hands-on role within a working fashion studio and requires strong coordination, problem-solving, and team management skills.



Key Responsibilities


1. Production & Studio Operations

• Oversee daily operations of the studio and ensure smooth workflow across all activities

• Plan and monitor production schedules for custom orders and ready pieces

• Coordinate with tailors and designers to ensure timely completion of garments

• Track order progress and ensure delivery timelines are met

• Maintain quality control across all garments before dispatch

• Ensure efficient production flow and minimize delays or bottlenecks


2. Fabric & Material Sourcing

• Regularly source fabrics, trims, and other materials from local markets and suppliers

• Identify reliable vendors and maintain strong vendor relationships

• Compare pricing, quality, and availability before procurement

• Manage fabric stock and ensure materials are available before production begins

• Coordinate fabric pickups and deliveries when required


3. Team Management

• Supervise and coordinate the studio team including tailors and assistants

• Allocate tasks and ensure team productivity and discipline

• Monitor attendance, punctuality, and work quality

• Support the team in resolving operational issues during production


4. Inventory & Resource Management

• Maintain records of fabric stock, trims, and production materials

• Track usage of materials across orders

• Ensure studio tools and equipment are maintained and organized

• Prevent material shortages by monitoring inventory levels


5. Order & Process Management

• Coordinate with the management team to plan order timelines and priorities

• Ensure accurate documentation of orders, measurements, and custom requirements

• Maintain organized records of ongoing and completed orders

• Ensure clear communication between production, sourcing, and management


6. Operational Coordination

• Assist in coordinating studio activities including fittings, alterations, and trials

• Support photoshoots and studio preparation when required

• Ensure the studio remains organized, functional, and efficient at all times



Requirements

• Strong organizational and coordination skills

• Prior experience in fashion, apparel production, retail operations, or studio management preferred

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously

• Comfortable sourcing fabrics and materials from local markets

• Strong team management and communication skills

• Attention to detail and problem-solving ability
