Job Description

Role Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented staff accountant to support US-based clients with day-to-day accounting operations. The role focuses on accurate financial recording, reconciliations, accrual accounting, and timely reporting while working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review bank activity and perform accurate bank reconciliations
  • Prepare and monitor cash flow reports
  • Record payroll accruals and import payroll data, ensuring accuracy
  • Record weekly inventory journal entries and reconcile inventory accounts
  • Manage prepaid expenses and ensure proper allocation
  • Accrue and record third-party fees, credit card fees, and management fees
  • Record and reconcile event deposits along with related expense reports
  • Analyze sales data and update reports for the sales tax team
  • Verify inter-company transactions and resolve discrepancies
  • Review financials for accuracy and completeness before reporting

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Qualification: B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) or equivalent
  • Experience: 3–4 years in accrual accounting with US-based clients
  • Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Desktop
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Preferred Skills

  • Exposure to the US accounting environment
  • Experience with accrual accounting and reconciliation
  • Prior experience supporting multiple clients simultaneously

Work Expectations

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Willingness to work in US time zones
  • Comfortable working in a process-driven and deadline-oriented environment
