Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Splunk Developer with 10+ years of overall IT experience and strong expertise in Splunk development, log analysis, and monitoring solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable Splunk dashboards, alerts, and monitoring systems to support enterprise-level applications and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop Splunk dashboards, reports, and visualizations for operational and business insights.

  • Develop and optimize SPL (Search Processing Language) queries for log analysis and monitoring.

  • Implement data onboarding, parsing, and indexing strategies for multiple data sources.

  • Configure and manage alerts, notifications, and monitoring solutions in Splunk.

  • Analyze system logs to identify performance issues, anomalies, and security threats.

  • Collaborate with DevOps, infrastructure, and security teams to implement observability solutions.

  • Optimize Splunk performance, search efficiency, and data retention policies.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to log ingestion, dashboards, and queries.

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior Splunk developers and administrators.


Required Skills

  • Strong experience with Splunk Enterprise development and administration

  • Advanced knowledge of SPL (Search Processing Language)

  • Experience in dashboard development, alerts, and reporting

  • Strong knowledge of log management and monitoring tools

  • Experience with data onboarding, field extraction, and indexing

  • Good understanding of Linux/Unix environments

  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Shell

  • Knowledge of monitoring and observability best practices


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SIEM or security monitoring solutions

  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

  • Knowledge of DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines

  • Splunk certification is an added advantage
