Job Summary

The Software Developer develops, modifies, debugs, and evaluates existing software for functional areas. This position analyzes existing software or works to formulate logic for new systems; design and use of data sources; and monitors and employs source code control techniques and configuration management

Essential Functions And Tasks

Codes, tests, and debugs programs according to computer engineering specifications.
Modifies, expands, and updates applications.
Communicates with a team that includes analysts, engineers, and quality assurance testers in order to coordinate and document application development and testing.
Develops software prototypes.
Work with team members and departments to gather, analyze, prepare and summarize recommendations for approval of system and programming documentation.
Customizes, enhances, implements new modules, changes to cloud applications, redesigns, and creates and maintains security roles and configurations.
Performs complex data modeling, performance and integration testing, and builds interfaces for a variety of internal and external constituents.
Recommends and implements changes in development, maintenance, and system standards.
Develops and executes moderate test plans; Develops conversion and system implementation plans.
Performs projects and other duties as assigned.

Education And Experience Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Math, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent training and/or experience.
Four (4) years of programming experience.
Hands-on industry experience in software application development for Information Technology, revenue cycle management, and/or interface development, preferred.
Experience in working with MS Applications including SQL query, MS Office, and Visual Studio, preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Strong working knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL) for writing queries.
Strong working knowledge of web applications, including security, session management, and best development practices.
Working knowledge of industry practices, architectural standards, and department policies and procedures relating to work assignments.
Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies, version control systems, and/or IIS.
Knowledge of data modeling for creating reports, dashboards, and extracts using subject areas and custom SQL.
Knowledge of requirements gathering process and documentation structure.
Strong programming skills in languages and frameworks such as C#/C++, HTML, Java/Java Enterprise Edition, Microsoft .NET and SQL Server.

Compensation

Base Compensation will be based on various factors unique to each candidate including geographic location, skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons .
This position is also eligible for a discretionary incentiv e bon us in accordance with company policies .
