We have built strong early traction across DTC, TikTok Shop, and Amazon, and we are entering our next phase of disciplined growth.


The Role

As we scale our brand, we’re looking for a Social & Content Lead to own Mozi’s organic social presence end-to-end. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, creative direction, and hands-on content creation. You’ll shape how the brand shows up across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube by developing content that builds culture, grows our audience, and fuels our marketing engine.


This is a high-ownership role for someone who is both strategic and scrappy, someone who can develop a big idea and then pick up their phone and bring the idea to our community.


What You'll Do


Own Mozi's Social Strategy

  • Develop and execute the organic social strategy across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube alongside VP of Ecommerce
  • Build, manage, and execute the social content calendar
  • Identify opportunities for content experimentation, including new formats, trends, and series
  • Partner with growth team on affiliate / influencer management including building relationships, maintaining regular communications and managing sample requests
  • Turn social into a top-of-funnel growth engine for the brand



Drive Content Creation for Organic

  • Shoot and edit content quickly using phone-first production
  • Produce a consistent stream of native, authentic social content
  • Develop repeatable content formats that audiences recognize and engage with
  • Create and appear in short-form video content for TikTok, Reels, and Shorts (content team will also be making video content, but mostly for “Paid” channels)



Shape the Brand Voice on Social

  • Partner directly with the founder/CEO to translate brand vision into social storytelling
  • Define and evolve Mozi’s social voice and creative language
  • Ensure social content and aesthetic reflects the brand’s design-forward, sensory, and playful personality
  • Build a recognizable and distinctive brand presence across platforms



Drive Growth through Social

  • Work closely with the paid creative team to identify organic content that can scale into ads
  • Use tools like ManyChat and comment automation to drive engagement and conversions
  • Analyze performance metrics and refine content strategy accordingly
  • Turn social insights into actionable learnings for the full marketing funnel



Build an Engaged Mozi Community

  • Develop community-first communication channels with Mozi members (e.g., Instagram broadcast channels, Substack)
  • Engage directly with Mozi’s audience through comments, DMs, and community touchpoints to foster a loyal and interactive following
  • Attend in-person pop-ups and events as a brand representative, capturing content and connecting with customers in real life
  • Design and produce collateral to support brand moments (e.g., postcards, flyers, event announcements)



Who You Are

  • 2-3+ years experience in a social-media or content role for a consumer brand
  • Strategic and hands-on. You can build a social strategy and execute it yourself.
  • Creative with strong taste. You understand design, storytelling, and internet culture.
  • Chronically online. You live on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube and understand what works.
  • Scrappy and fast. You can ideate, shoot, edit, and post content quickly.
  • Comfortable on camera. You’re willing to appear in content and represent the brand.
  • Design-savvy. You’re comfortable creating quick, on-brand graphics and collateral using tools like Canva, Photoshop or similar design platforms.
  • Data-aware. You understand what metrics matter and how to iterate based on performance.
  • Founder-compatible. You’re excited to collaborate closely with leadership on brand storytelling.
