Senior Software Engineer, Analytics, Google One

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
• 3 years of experience with full stack development, across back-end such as Java, Python, Golang, or C++ codebases, and front-end experience including JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS or equivalent.
• 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
• 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
• Experience in Data Analytics, Big Data, SQL, SQL Pipelines, Object-Oriented Analysis and Design, Object-Oriented Design.
  
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
• 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
• Experience in working with API integrations, Services, Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) etc.

Responsibilities

• Build and enhance self-serve tools to help other teams create and manage data pipelines that generate metrics.
• Build and enhance the infrastructure that makes Analytics possible.
• Create critical dashboards for visualization, and helping others create less critical dashboards.
• Take complete ownership and accountability for coming up with ideas and solving problems (along with your teammates).
• Build/Lead or enhance infrastructure that enables other teams in Google One and Photos to launch faster, safer, reliably by adding self-service offerings in the analytics and experimentation platform.
