Job Description
The social media marketing account manager is responsible for managing the company’s relationship with an external social media agency. This role serves as the point of contact between the company and the agency, ensuring that social media strategies, content, and campaigns align with brand guidelines, business objectives, and performance expectations. The account manager oversees planning, approvals, performance tracking, and continuous optimization while coordinating input from internal stakeholders.

- Agency & stakeholder management:
- Act as the primary point of contact between the company and the external social media agency
- Lead agency onboarding, briefings, and ongoing communications
- Translate business goals, campaigns, and brand requirements clearly to the agency
- Coordinate inputs from internal stakeholders including marketing, sales, product, and leadership
- Manage feedback loops, revisions, approvals, and delivery timelines
- Strategy & planning:
- Collaborate with the agency to develop and execute social media strategies aligned with company objectives
- Provide campaign briefs, priorities, and key messaging in coordination with internal marketing teams
- Review and approve content calendars, campaign plans, and platform recommendations
- Ensure alignment with overall marketing, brand, and communication strategies
- Content & brand oversight:
- Review agency-created content for brand voice, accuracy, compliance, and relevance
- Ensure consistency with existing brand guidelines or define guidelines where required
- Approve posts, captions, visuals, and campaign assets prior to publishing
- Monitor content performance and audience engagement across platforms
- Campaign & performance management:
- Oversee organic and paid social media campaigns executed by the agency
- Track KPIs including engagement, reach, traffic, conversions, and ROI
- Review monthly and quarterly performance reports shared by the agency
- Recommend strategic optimisations based on performance insights and business priorities
- Budget & contract oversight:
- Monitor agency scope of work and ensure timely delivery of agreed deliverables
- Ensure compliance with approved budgets and contractual terms
