Job Description

Experience : 7-12 years

Location : Coimbatore / Chennai



JOB DESCRIPTION :


  • Lead end-to-end SAP BASIS administration across SAP NetWeaver, S/4HANA, and ECC

environments.

  • Drive technical planning, installations, upgrades (support packs, kernel, DB), and complex

landscape migrations.

  • Manage ABAP and Java stacks, including system installations, patching, and troubleshooting.
  • Provide hands-on DBA support for HANA, Sybase ASE, and MaxDB, including

backup/recovery, performance tuning, and DB upgrades.

  • Manage & maintain SAP new-dimension products: BW, Portal, CRM, SRM, CPI/IS, GRC, &

Solution Manager.

  • Implement and manage High Availability (HA) setups, system replication, and Disaster

Recovery (DR) strategies.

  • Execute system refreshes, client copies, transport management, and SAP archiving tasks.
  • Perform proactive capacity planning, system sizing, and database growth analysis.
  • Oversee change and release management processes using tools like CHARM, SOLMAN, and

other ITSM platforms.

  • Administer and optimize SAP Solution Manager – configuration, monitoring, and integration

with managed systems.

  • Develop and manage custom UNIX/Linux shell scripts for automation and alerting

mechanisms.

  • Monitor system health using EWA, CCMS, OS tools, and third-party solutions (e.g., Nagios,

Dynatrace, Azure Monitor)

  • Conduct and coordinate Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for complex performance and stability

issues.

  • Ensure compliance through audit support, system hardening, and adherence to SAP security guidelines
  • Lead cutover planning and technical downtime minimization strategies for go-lives and

upgrades.

  • Mentor and guide junior BASIS team members; build a strong internal knowledge base and

SOPs.

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams – infrastructure, security, application, and

cloud.

  • Maintain strong client relationships; act as a technical advisor during project discussions and

escalations

  • Open to supporting 24x7 operations and handling critical incidents in rotational shifts or on-

call schedules

  • Stay current on emerging SAP technologies including SAP BTP, RISE with SAP, Cloud

Connector, and cloud hosting platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
