Senior Python AI / GenAI Engineer - Contractor in USD

For an international project in Chennai, we are urgently looking for a Senior Python AI / GenAI Engineer.

We are looking for a motivated contractor. Candidates need to be fluent in English.

Tasks and responsibilities:

• Design and develop AI/ML and GenAI applications using Python;
• Build and deploy LLM-powered solutions including RAG, multi-agent systems, and autonomous AI agents;
• Develop Document Intelligence pipelines (PDF, Office files, structured/unstructured data);
• Implement semantic search and vector-based retrieval;
• Design and deploy intelligent chatbots with contextual memory;
• Develop Agent AI systems using LangChain and LangGraph;
• Implement Model Context Protocol (MCP) based integrations for secure AI-tool interaction;
• Build REST APIs using FastAPI/Flask for AI services;
• Integrate OpenAI/Azure OpenAI and enterprise data sources;
• Deploy AI applications on Azure/AWS with CI/CD and monitoring;

Profile:

• Bachelor or Master degree;
• +8 years of relevant experience;
• Strong proficiency in Python;
• Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, Agent frameworks;
• Hands-on experience in RAG architectures and vector databases;
• Experience with OpenAI / Azure OpenAI APIs;
• Knowledge of Document Intelligence & NLP;
• Prompt engineering and LLM optimization;
• API development and microservices architecture;
• Cloud deployment experience (Azure preferred);
• Experience building enterprise AI copilots;
• Exposure to multi-agent orchestration systems;
• Knowledge of MCP architecture;
• Experience integrating AI with SharePoint/Dataverse;
• Understanding of AI governance and performance evaluation;
• Experience with Azure cloud infrastructure and deployment of scalable applications is nice to have;
• Fluent in English;
