• Worked with Engineering manufacturing company in purchase/sourcing function
• Experience in Purchase of round bar and tubes of low alloy steel , carbon steel , stainless steel Nickel steel alloys
• Preference will be given to candidates who has worked in manufacturing company who makes products for Oil & Gas industry
• Should have knowledge of steel manufacturing process and understanding on chemical and mechanical properties of steel grades as mentioned above .
• Engineering and Technology -Understanding on manufacturing process of Steel

Main responsibility

1. Monitoring RM+BO procurement as per purchase plan
2. Strategic procurement from mills for stocking RM
3. Price comparison and negotiation with supplier.
4. New Mill qualification for steel procurement
5. NPD Project RM development through project charter
6. Exploring new cost competitive suppliers in market for existing casting + Forging
7. Supplier assessment from manufacturing capability, process controls, quality and price competitiveness.
8. Cost saving project identification and working on same for cost saving
9. Closely working with Plant Planner and BD team for new project requirements
10. MIS preparation of monthly purchase , supplier quality performance , NPD project tracking
11. Inventory management, No Nonmoving inventory creation.

Knowledge: Software — Excel , MS Office, SAP MM module, Familiar with ISO, IMS standards.
