Senior PHP Developer

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced Technical Lead with 8 to 10 years of industry experience to drive the design, architecture, and delivery of cutting-edge enterprise-grade applications. You will lead large-scale projects, mentor and manage multiple development teams, and collaborate with senior stakeholders to align technical solutions with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic technical leadership in designing, architecting, and developing enterprise-grade applications using PHP Laravel.

• Oversee and mentor multiple PHP Laravel development teams, ensuring high code quality, adherence to best practices, and efficient delivery.

• Collaborate with senior business stakeholders, product owners, and cross-functional teams to translate complex requirements into scalable and maintainable solutions.

• Define and enforce coding standards, architectural guidelines, and development processes across projects.

• Perform complex architectural reviews, code audits, and performance optimizations to ensure system reliability and scalability.

• Manage the full software development lifecycle: requirements analysis, architecture, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.

• Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies and frameworks to continuously enhance product capabilities and development efficiency.

• Oversee timelines, risk mitigation, and resource allocation for multiple concurrent products.

• Act as the escalation point for high-priority technical issues and ensure rapid resolution.

• Champion a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and technical excellence within the team.

• Skills & Expertise Required:

• PHP & Laravel Mastery — Deep, hands-on experience designing and building complex, scalable applications using PHP and Laravel for over 10 years.

• Architectural Skills — Proficiency in designing software architecture for high-traffic, mission-critical applications.

• Team Leadership — Proven ability to lead, mentor, and grow multiple development teams, including performance management and skills development.

• Strategic Communication — Strong communication skills to influence and align stakeholders from senior leadership to technical teams.

• Problem Solving & Decision-Making — Advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and ability to make high-impact technical decisions.

• Project & Program Management — Expertise in managing complex projects, planning roadmaps, and delivering within budgets and deadlines.

• Version Control Systems — Expertise with Git and modern CI/CD pipelines.

• Frontend Collaboration — Solid understanding of modern frontend stacks (React.js, Vue, or Angular preferred) and how they integrate with Laravel backends.

• Database Engineering — Advanced knowledge of MySQL and familiarity with other RDBMS/NoSQL databases.

• Testing & Quality Assurance — Extensive experience with unit testing, integration testing, and test automation frameworks.

• Cloud & DevOps — Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and microservices architecture.

• Agile & Scrum Practices — Strong experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and leading cross-functional sprints a related field.
