Location: Chennai

Position Description

We are looking for a highly skilled MuleSoft Engineer with strong Java experience to design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-grade integration solutions. The ideal candidate will be involved across the full software development lifecycle, from requirement analysis and architecture design to deployment and optimization. This role demands a user-centric mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and hands-on expertise in MuleSoft ESB and API-led connectivity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers to deeply understand business use cases, pain points, and requirements, ensuring user-centric software solutions.
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable MuleSoft-based integration solutions.
  • Solve complex integration challenges using appropriate tools, frameworks, methodologies (Agile), and technologies.
  • Assess application requirements and determine the most suitable technology stack, integration approach, and deployment strategy.
  • Design high-level software architecture outlining application structure, components, and interfaces.
  • Develop and maintain back-end services including APIs and microservices using Java and MuleSoft.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as Product Owners, Designers, Architects, and QA teams.
  • Define and implement software testing strategies, standards, and processes aligned with organizational and industry best practices.
  • Ensure high performance, scalability, and reliability of applications through continuous optimization.
  • Follow modern engineering practices such as Test-Driven Development (TDD), Continuous Integration (CI), and Continuous Delivery (CD).
  • Implement security best practices including data encryption, anonymization, and secure API design.
  • Create and support user-friendly and interactive interfaces where applicable.
  • Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies to enhance solution quality and development efficiency.
  • Document technical designs, solutions, issues, and best practices.
  • Participate in industry collaboration and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Extensive experience in MuleSoft integrations and customizations.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with mature judgment.
  • Experience working with RAML using MuleSoft.
  • Solid understanding of integration and enterprise design patterns.
  • Experience with cloud platforms and distributed systems.
  • Exposure to cloud computing, API integration, cloud messaging, and ground-to-cloud connectivity.
  • Experience in at least one programming language and eagerness to learn new technologies.

Certifications (Preferred / Advanced)

  • MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect (MCIA)
  • MuleSoft Certified Platform Architect (MCPA)
  • Google Cloud Digital Leader or Associate Cloud Engineer (Optional)
