Job Description
Responsibilities
- Planning & Design Integration
- Lead the planning and execution of electro-mechanical (E&M) packages, including turbines, generators, transformers, switchgear, and SCADA systems.
- Review and approve technical documents, shop drawings, and method statements for E&M works.
- Installation, Testing & Commissioning
- Supervise installation, inspection, and commissioning of turbines, generators, excitation systems, and auxiliary equipment.
- Ensure proper integration with civil and hydro-mechanical works for seamless project execution.
- Compliance & Safety
- Ensure adherence to international standards (IEC, IEEE, ANSI) and local regulations.
- Enforce strict health, safety, and environmental protocols during site activities.
- Project Management & Coordination
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, and KPIs specific to E&M scope.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (civil, structural, geotechnical, electrical) to resolve interface issues.
- Reporting & Risk Management
- Prepare progress reports, technical updates, and risk assessments for stakeholders.
- Implement risk mitigation strategies for E&M works to ensure timely and safe delivery.
- BE/B Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- 15+ yrs of experience in the same kind of job in Hydropower/PSP projects.
