Job Title

Senior General Manager-Operations (India & Sharjah)

JOB OBJECTIVES

Responsible for driving end to end operational performance across manufacturing plants in India & Sharjah along with supply chain and imports and exports. The role focuses on translating business strategy into consistent execution outcomes, ensuring cost competitiveness, quality, delivery, performance, and building strong operational capability across all units.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Operational Excellence & Integration

• Establish and drive a robust Production & Operating system across the manufacturing plants.
• Lead process standardization and integration across plants to ensure consistency in execution and governance.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and practical excellence tools.
• Strengthen plant culture, operational discipline and accountability.

Business Performance & Execution

• Drive overall operational performance across manufacturing plants and business units.
• Ensure disciplined execution of annual operating plans and production targets.
• Improve cost competitiveness through productivity enhancement, yield improvement and cost optimisation
• Manage performance through structured reviews and drive timely corrective actions.

Supply Chain, Imports/Exports (EXIM) and last mile delivery.

• Oversee end to end supply chain operations, including procurement, planning, inventory and logistics.
• Drive improvements in OTIF (On Time In Full), inventory turns, and working capital efficiency.
• Strengthen sourcing strategy through localisation, and supplier development.
• Manage Imports & Exports ensuring compliance, cost efficiency, and supply continuity.

Manufacturing & Multi-Plant Operations

• Led operations across India & Sharjah manufacturing plants ensuring alignment on Safety, Quality, Delivery & Cost.
• Standardise operating practices and performance benchmarks across plants.
• Drive process standardization and integration to ensure consistency in execution and governance.
• Strengthen operational discipline, plant culture and accountability.

Leadership & Organizational Development

• Build & lead a high performance operational team across plants and functions.
• Drive accountability, ownership mind set, and execution discipline.
• Develop internal capability and succession for key operational roles.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION’S

Minimum Qualification

Bachelor degree in Engineering/Post Graduation in Management

Years and Nature of Experience

• Minimum 20 years of experience in manufacturing led organization.
• Strong exposure to multi-plant operations and operational excellence.
• Proven experience managing operations in a manufacturing business with annual turnover of Rs 500 Cr or above.
• Experience in promotor led or closely held organizations will be an advantage.
