Job Title: Senior DevOps Engineer

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in building and operating reliable, secure, and scalable infrastructure for healthcare software used in critical clinical workflows. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will work with complex on-prem and cloud-native environments, manage large Linux and Kubernetes platforms, and collaborate closely with development and security teams. The role offers meaningful technical challenges, high ownership, and the satisfaction of contributing to systems that directly support healthcare professionals and patients in Denmark and Norway.

You will be part of the Healthcare Business Unit within EG, a leading Nordic software company. Our team of approximately 70 employees, based in Mangalore, develops and maintains healthcare software solutions serving customers across Denmark and Norway. The department works closely with clinicians, operations teams, and regulatory stakeholders to deliver secure, compliant, and high-quality healthcare platforms, with strong focus on reliability, security, and continuous improvement.

Your Workday, Your Tasks And Mandatory Skill Set

• Daily management of large Linux VM farms (around 350 VM's) on-prem. This includes troubleshooting on IT platforms, servers and networking level
• Monitor and troubleshoot of operational servers with all kinds of roles and system specific applications.
• Work with IT Security and the rest of team on identifying and resolving the security vulnerabilities
• Managing Kubernetes clusters
• Assist with build and deploy pipelines using GiHub actions and ArgoCD
• Perform upgrades and patches of the infrastructure
• Maintain, run and test backup and restore solutions
  
  

Good To Have

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of experience managing large-scale Linux and virtualized infrastructure in enterprise or on-premises environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, automation/orchestration tools such as Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and ArgoCD.
• Solid understanding of IT security principles, vulnerability remediation, infrastructure patching, backups, and cross-layer troubleshooting.
