Overview
The Controllership team in AP region is looking for a Senior Accountant mainly to take charge of the Controllership-related support needed for EDB cash grant. The role is also responsible to support the RHQ Controllership team on month-end closing, quarterly reporting, rebates and incentives support and other compliance-related reporting activities.. The ideal candidate is independent, intellectually curious, analytical and highly motivated with the ability to work with cross-functional teams across the organization

Senior Accountant
Overview
The Controllership team in AP region is looking for a Senior Accountant mainly to take charge of the Controllership-related support needed for EDB cash grant. The role is also responsible to support the RHQ Controllership team on month-end closing, quarterly reporting, rebates and incentives support and other compliance-related reporting activities.. The ideal candidate is independent, intellectually curious, analytical and highly motivated with the ability to work with cross-functional teams across the organization
Role
- Responsible for providing Controllership-related support in relation to EDB cash grant claims.
- Provide support to RICL, other Controllers and RHQ Controllership team in relation to month-end closing and in collating and consolidating responses from legal entity Controllers needed for the timely submission of monthly and quarterly corporate reporting requirements.
- Responsible in the timely and accurate monthly and quarterly indirect tax filings for MAPPL (Malaysia DST, GST) and coordinates with KPMG and other Service Provider to meet filing requirements.
- Provides support needed by RHQ Controller on Rebates and Incentives
- Participates ad hoc projects where support is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent and at least 7 years relevant work experience. CPA/ CA preferred.
- Strong knowledge of financial principles and accounting practices (US GAAP and IFRS).
- Strong organizational skills required to manage multiple, concurrent tasks.
- Requires intermediate to advance skills in MS Excel. MS Access skills preferred. Excellent overall spreadsheet skills and comfortable working with various financial applications. Experience in Oracle financial systems & ADI and Hyperion preferred.
- Independent worker & thinker with the ability to follow up on time sensitive issues
- Proven communication skills with all levels of staff and management across different geographies and cultures.
- High degree of accuracy and ability to manage sensitive information.
- Can work under pressure, team player and problem-solver.
