Role Overview
The Semiconductor Equipment Engineer is responsible for the engineering ownership, qualification, reliability, and performance optimization of semiconductor manufacturing equipment in a high-volume fab environment. The role focuses on maintaining equipment stability, improving tool performance, and supporting production yield and throughput targets.

Key Responsibilities
Equipment Ownership & Reliability
- Own and maintain assigned semiconductor manufacturing tools.
- Ensure high equipment availability, reliability, and throughput.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) to resolve equipment and process issues.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance tool performance.
- Support installation and commissioning of new semiconductor tools.
- Execute equipment qualification processes (IQ, OQ, PQ).
- Support new technology introduction and production ramp-up activities.
- Maintain equipment documentation including SOPs, PM procedures, and qualification reports.
- Ensure compliance with semiconductor manufacturing standards and operational protocols.
- Participate in internal audits and equipment performance reviews.
- Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
- Hands-on experience with systems such as:
- Vacuum systems
- Gas delivery systems
- RF power systems
- Robotics and wafer handling systems
- PLC-based equipment control
- Familiarity with manufacturing monitoring tools such as:
- SPC (Statistical Process Control)
- FDC (Fault Detection & Classification)
- TPM (Total Productive Maintenance)
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
