Job Title: Payment QA Lead
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Payment QA Engineer to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and
security of payment systems. The role involves testing payment workflows across multiple
gateways, validating transaction integrity, and ensuring compliance with financial and regulatory
standards.
Key Responsibilities
● Test end-to-end payment flows including UPI, net banking
● Validate payment gateway integrations (e.g., Razorpay, Cashfree, ATOM)
● Verify transaction states: success, failure, pending, retries
● Perform API testing for payment services using tools like Postman
● Validate webhooks, callbacks, and timeout scenarios
● Identify, log, and track defects using tools like JIRA
● Collaborate with product, backend, and RMS teams to resolve issues
● Conduct regression testing after releases and gateway changes
● Analyze production payment issues and support root cause analysis
Required Skills & Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
●2 to 7 years of experience in QA/testing of payment systems
● Strong understanding of payment lifecycles and financial transactions
● Experience with manual and API testing
● Knowledge of SQL for transaction validation
● Familiarity with payment gateways and acquirers
● Understanding of fraud, risk checks, and compliance requirements
● Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
Good to Have
● Automation experience (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Rest Assured)
● Experience in fintech or banking domain
Tools & Technologies
● JIRA / Zephyr / TestRail
● Postman / Swagger
● SQL / MySQL / PostgreSQL
● Selenium / Cypress (optional)
● Payment Gateways (Razorpay, Cashfree, etc.)
Work Environment:
● Fast-paced, collaborative, and Agile team environment.
● May require off-hours testing during critical releases.
