Job Title: QA Engineer (Automation + Manual)

Location: Remote – India

Experience:6+years

Domain: Product-based SaaS (HRMS for Public Sector)

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced QA Engineer (Automation + Manual) with a strong balance of automation and manual testing expertise. This role focuses on ensuring the quality, stability, and performance of our SaaS-based HRMS platform. The ideal candidate will take ownership of QA activities, build reliable automation solutions, and actively collaborate with development and product teams in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts using Java, Selenium WebDriver, and/or Playwright.
  • Actively perform manual testing including functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing.
  • Create and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for web-based applications.
  • Identify, log, and track defects; work closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.
  • Integrate automation tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
  • Perform cross-browser and cross-platform testing using BrowserStack or similar tools.
  • Conduct API testing using Postman, RestAssured, or equivalent tools.
  • Support performance and load testing activities using JMeter or similar tools (good to have).
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Maintain QA documentation, test reports, and quality metrics.
  • Mentor junior QA team members and promote QA best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of overall experience in Software Quality Assurance.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in automation testing using Selenium with Java.
  • Strong manual testing experience with a clear understanding of QA fundamentals.
  • Proficiency in Java with good knowledge of OOP concepts.
  • Experience with testing frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, and Cucumber (BDD).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, Docker).
  • Hands-on experience in API testing.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
