Role: Proposal Engineer (Mechanical / Chemical)

Key Responsibilities
Prepare and develop detailed techno-commercial proposals for STP, ETP, WTP, RO, and UF projects
Provide mechanical and chemical engineering inputs, including process selection, equipment sizing, and BOQ preparation
Analyze tender documents, technical specifications, drawings, and client requirements
Perform cost estimation, coordinate with vendors, and support procurement activities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Design, Sales, and Project departments
Attend client meetings, including on-site visits, to understand requirements and provide technical discussions
Ensure timely submission of accurate and competitive proposals
Develop compliance sheets, technical documentation, and handle client queries/clarifications

Required Qualifications & Skills
Bachelorβs degree in Mechanical / Chemical / Environmental Engineering
Proven experience in proposal preparation, tendering, or water treatment industry
Strong understanding of water and wastewater treatment processes (STP / ETP / WTP / RO / UF)
Knowledge of equipment selection, process calculations, and costing
Basic understanding of electrical systems (motors, panels, load estimation) is preferred
Strong communication and client-handling skills
Knowledge of procurement processes and vendor coordination
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Proficiency in tools like AutoCAD, MS Excel, and proposal documentation

Additional Requirements
Willingness to travel for client meetings and site visits
Practical exposure to plant operations is an advantage
Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously
