Job Description

Experience: 10+ years


Qualification: BE Mechanical / BE Electrical.


Overall objectives:


  • Leads cross functional sourcing as part of an investment project for key capex items within an approved capex budget;
  • To contract effectively within budget at overall lowest costs and minimal risks both medium and long term whereby the sourcing process was carried out timely, and identifying at least three potential vendors;
  • Develop and implement commodity strategies for main commodity capex items like mills, dispense kits and lab instruments as well as energy which are in line with overall strategic business plan;



Main responsibilities:


  • In close cooperation with other project team members drive the sourcing of the main investment items from the start of a project following the guidelines regarding CAPEX:
  • Analyze market and implement risk management strategies for key investment items;
  • Drive sourcing strategy implementation by leading major RFQs and key negotiations;
  • Deliver within CAPEX budget and provide sufficient timely information for reporting purposes;
  • Link with local buyers and sourcing centers to identify alternative suppliers in other geographies;
  • Develop and deploy global strategies and framework agreements;
  • collect supplier performance feedback;
  • Own key supplier relationship, and lead key supplier conflict resolutions;
  • communicate to key project members any changes in planning, installation or supplier which may affect the business;
  • Communicate, negotiate and agree on the impact of any forthcoming changes in demand/specifications during the project;
  • Provide sufficient information for CAPEX implementation and financial planning process.


Skills, knowledge and Experience:


  • Profound analytical skills
  • Mechanical or electrical engineering degree
  • Experienced negotiator, able to implement together with stakeholders the outcome of the selection process
  • Good understanding of processes and systems
  • Fluent in English
  • Experience in an international environment
