We’re hiring a program manager to drive a high-impact technology initiatives that transforms Starbucks’ supply chain and retail operations through intelligent, scalable systems. This role is deeply embedded in engineering and product delivery, leading efforts to build transformational platforms in service of Source to Pay and Procure to Pay processes, and automate end to end capabilities to optimize spend visibility, cost management and vendor risk mitigation. You’ll work cross-functionally with technology, operations, and supply chain teams to architect solutions that modernize our cloud infrastructure, streamline data flows, and deliver frictionless supplier, partner and customer experiences. As a program manager, you will…
- Lead end-to-end delivery of complex, cross-functional technology programs—from roadmap planning through deployment—ensuring alignment across engineering, supply chain operations, and sourcing strategy.
- Apply expert-level program and project lifecycle management practices to drive execution, manage risks, and deliver scalable solutions that modernize inventory, fulfillment, and financial systems.
- Navigate enterprise systems and vendor relationships by managing external partners, reviewing statements of work, and ensuring technical deliverables meet business goals.
- Communicate with clarity and influence across all levels, facilitating decision-making, resolving ambiguity, and driving alignment between business and technology stakeholders.
- Experience leading the tactical execution of multi-disciplinary technology initiatives, guiding programs from initial planning and scoping through delivery and operational handoff, while ensuring seamless coordination across engineering, supply chain, and retail functions.
- Expert-Level Program and Project Lifecycle Management--Proven ability to lead complex, multi-phase programs from planning through execution, including risk management, financial management, change control, and delivery of enterprise-scale solutions
- Strong Leadership and Communication Skills--Ability to lead by example, navigate ambiguity, facilitate difficult conversations, and influence stakeholders across all levels—from individual contributors to VP+.
- Technical Fluency Across Enterprise Systems--Clear understanding of solution architecture, systems integration, data migration, and deployment processes—essential for managing technology-driven initiatives.
- Experience Managing External Vendors and Suppliers--Skilled in reviewing statements of work, negotiating change orders, and ensuring vendor deliverables align with program goals and timelines.
- Business Domain Knowledge in Sourcing and Procurement processes, Familiarity with direct and indirect sourcing processes and contract management practices is key to delivering solutions that meet operational needs and drive transformation.
- If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.
