Location: Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan and Gujarat
Role Summary:
As a Physical Education Teacher (PET), you will be placed in a school and play a key role in implementing Sportathon Foundation’s sports-integrated curriculum. You will ensure regular sports sessions, promote inclusive participation, support life skills development, and build a safe, joyful play culture for all children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver structured Physical Education and sports sessions (as per curriculum)
- Ensure age-appropriate, inclusive and engaging physical activities
- Promote life skills, teamwork, and gender equity through sports
- Maintain regular tracking of student participation, engagement, and skill development
- Organize intra-school games, fitness assessments, and events
- Build positive relationships with students, school staff, and parents
- Support training and mentoring of youth volunteers or assistant coaches
- Manage and maintain sports equipment, ensuring availability and proper usage
- Maintain accurate attendance, session logs, and submit regular progress reports
- Uphold safety, discipline, and sportsmanship at all times
- Collaborate and build rapport with school stakeholders to support program success
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) or equivalent
- Prior 2-3 years experience working with children in a school or sports setup preferred
- Strong communication, facilitation, and classroom management skills
- Passion for sports, fitness, and holistic child development
- Ability to engage and motivate students from diverse backgrounds
- Open to continuous learning, feedback, and collaboration
