Min Experience: 4 years

This is a founding leadership role responsible for building the organization's People and Talent function from the ground up. As the first HR leader, you will design and implement the systems, standards, and cultural foundations that determine how the company scales. The next phase of growth depends on hiring quality, performance clarity, and strong retention of high-ownership talent. You will work directly with the founders and operate as a hands-on builder in the early stage — personally driving hiring, defining frameworks, and setting performance standards before scaling the function. This is not a traditional HR management role; it is a high-ownership position focused on creating a talent engine that compounds over time.

Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end hiring across leadership, mid-level, and high-impact roles
- Design structured hiring playbooks focused on ownership, grit, and judgment
- Build sourcing strategies across campuses, referrals, and lateral channels
- Continuously raise the hiring bar as the organization scales
- Translate founder expectations into clear hiring filters and evaluation frameworks
- Protect cultural standards by maintaining a strong selection threshold
- Build outcome-driven performance management frameworks
- Design growth paths that reward ownership and measurable impact
- Identify and accelerate high-potential team members
- Reduce regretted attrition through structured feedback and clarity
- Establish payroll, compliance, contracts, EPF, ESIC, and HR governance systems
- Create lean, scalable HR processes that enable execution
- Hire and manage HR operations support as scale demands
- Coach managers on hiring, feedback, and performance decisions
- Act as a strategic advisor to founders on people-related matters
- Proven experience building or scaling talent functions in high-growth environments
- Strong hiring judgment with the ability to assess ownership and cultural alignment
- Comfortable operating as a hands-on individual contributor before building a team
- Experience designing people systems from scratch rather than managing legacy processes
- Strong understanding of performance management, retention strategies, and people analytics
- Experience working closely with founders or senior leadership teams
- High ownership mindset with the confidence to make tough hiring decisions
- Ability to balance culture building with operational discipline
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Builder mentality with a long-term view of talent as a competitive advantage
