Payment Operations Executive

Role Overview

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Payment Operations Executive to support and manage day-to-day payment operations. The ideal candidate will work closely with internal teams and external payment partners to ensure smooth transaction processing, timely issue resolution, and optimal payment system performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor daily payment transactions and ensure smooth processing across payment gateways and banking partners.
• Act as the primary point of contact for payment-related operational issues and escalations.
• Coordinate with payment gateway providers, banks, and third‑party partners to resolve transaction failures and technical issues.
• Track payment success rates, analyze failures, and work with internal tech teams to improve payment performance.
• Support implementation and rollout of new payment methods or gateway integrations.
• Investigate customer payment complaints and ensure timely resolution.
• Maintain reports and dashboards related to payment performance and transaction metrics.
• Assist in payment reconciliation and ensure settlement accuracy with finance teams.
• Work closely with engineering, product, and business teams to improve payment flows and customer experience.
• Ensure compliance with payment-related processes and operational guidelines.
  
  

Requirements

• Basic understanding of digital payment systems (UPI, Cards, Netbanking, Wallets).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills for interacting with payment partners and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to investigate transaction issues using logs, dashboards, and reports.
• Comfortable working with data in Excel or similar tools.
• Ability to manage multiple issues and prioritize tasks effectively.
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• Experience working with payment gateways or fintech platforms.
• Familiarity with transaction monitoring, reconciliation, or payment troubleshooting.
• Understanding of UPI flows, payment lifecycle, and settlement processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in payments, operations, fintech, or support roles.
