Order Intake Specialist
SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Order Management & Processing
- Receive and enter product orders received
- Verify all required documents (physician order, wound assessment, insurance details, payer authorization)
- Confirm patient demographics, diagnosis, and product compatibility in accordance with payer and company policy
- Identify and flag incomplete or invalid documentation for clarification
- Assign orders for fulfilment once verified, ensuring accuracy in quantities, product codes, and shipping details
- Should hold good experience in Eligibility/Benefit verification & Prior authorization
DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience in healthcare billing
- Excellent attention to detail, problem solving and critical thinking
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Must have a team player mindset with adaptability to monitor own work
- High degree of professionalism and customer service
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
