Ocean freight coordinator

Our partner, a major 4PL service provider with nearly 25 years of professional history, operating more than 90 own offices worldwide, employing 11,000 people and recording a revenue of EUR 17.4 billion, is seeking a motivated professional for its dynamically growing local branch as an

Ocean Freight Coordinator,

Budapest-based position.

Key responsibilities:

- management of the existing Chinese client portfolio, organisation, coordination, and full execution of sea freight shipments, 

- verbal and written communication with clients, shipping lines, agents, partner companies, and other (road, rail) subcontractors,

- handling of administrative tasks related to shipments in a digital operating environment,

- effective support for the work of other departments.

Requirements:

- min. secondary education and min. 3 years of relevant professional experience gained at a freight forwarding company (operational area)

- advanced-level Chinese language proficiency in active daily use, both spoken and written

- advanced-level English language proficiency in active daily use, both spoken and written

- MS Office © (Word, Excel, Outlook) at user level

- independent, precise, and meticulous work approach

- polite communication style, strong networking and teamwork skills

- ambitious personality, entrepreneurial mindset

Advantageous:

- professional background exceeding the minimum requirements

- university degree and / or specialist (logistics) qualification

- immediate availability
