Position: Mobile Game Developer (Solar2D – Corona SDK)

Compensation: $50 – $150/hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

• Design, prototype, and build cross-platform mobile games using Solar2D with Lua scripting.
• Implement core gameplay mechanics and systems from concept to deployment.
• Optimize game performance to ensure smooth gameplay across a wide range of mobile devices.
• Integrate monetization features such as in-app purchases and ad networks.
• Collaborate with designers, artists, and developers to refine gameplay and user experience.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following game development best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain high development standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience developing mobile games using Solar2D (formerly Corona SDK) and Lua.
• Strong understanding of cross-platform game deployment for iOS and Android.
• Ability to rapidly prototype gameplay ideas in a fast-paced development environment.
• Experience optimizing mobile game performance and handling device compatibility challenges.
• Familiarity with integrating monetization solutions such as ads and in-app purchases.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment with strong attention to detail.
