About The Role
The Line Leader is one of the key positions of Operations department. Is ultimately responsible for the operation results in the respective shifts
What You Will Do
- Work within EOGL HSE standards.
- Secure the Quality level of the products through in-process inspection as defined in the standards. And take appropriate decisions of acceptance or rejections
- Complete all the required documentation and data files (Soft data or hard copies ) as an reflection of the overall machine operations (Like BMR, in process inspection reports, loss data, Process Failures, Machine failures, registers for data or any other as defined by the Organisation) also should ensure the team is trained enough to carry out individual documentations effectively
- Ensure high level of 5S in the area of operation/packing and takes responsibility of any gaps being observed in the area.
- Should be aware about the DPM, near miss, QI, Market complaints and ensure that the team is been informed and actions are been implemented.
- Maintain an adequate communication with persons involved in operations across shifts. Also ensure the issues/constraints are being adequately addressed through appropriate data collection and decision making. Ensure the supervisor/officers are being aligned / informed based on the criticality of the situation.
- Knowledge of the SOP’s/Specs/Standards as required to perform the responsibilities effectively. Should be adequately trained on computer operations required for performing day today activities.
- Is responsible for ensuring the closure of the Analysis in his or her area of scope, should be able to document the same.
- Share constructively the constraints / feedbacks on the days overview along with the available solutions. Participates in the DOM and any other meetings scheduled in the department.
- Should be able to summaries the operations output in terms of efficiencies, waste, DPM getting recorded and reported at different stages of operation either in the hard form or in soft form ( like SCADA report ) and should be able to convert the same into usable summaries reports. Justify if set target not achieved.
- Is responsible job allotment in the respective shift.
- Responsible for training and onboarding of new joinees.
- Should ensure leave planning done for all the members in the team.
- Should be able to carry out the SAP transactions.
- Should participate in the Safety programs like BOS, Safety Enablers and support in tracking, monitoring and closing of the concerns or gaps identified in or for his area.
- Encourage continuous improvement following DDS zero loss flowchart and/or participate in SGA in line with Zero loss journey.
- Should be part of the developmental activities like new machine, new products or any other improvements initiated as an outcome of business strategy.
- should lead at least one system in the department.
- Plans for the CIL activities and resources requirement for the Shift and ensures CIL being done in his/her ownership area.
- Ensures the team delivers required production orders according to spec,in time and on cost and ensures Team works to standards ((Safety, Quality, Cost, Centerlines, Deliveries , CILs… etc).
- Is trained on all the machine and performs as back-up during the staggering /absenteeism.
- Leads and facilitate loss elimination by using problem solving tools. Should be able to trouble shoot, carryout the basic issues linked with machine or process failures.
- Should ensure line clearance are being done and reconciliations of materials post completion of the batch and ensure data being captured accurately.
- Should have good knowledge of all SOP’s and Process Parameters of all machine and should be able to Understand if parameter is going out of limit and get it back on track.
- Identify the Good work done by the individual and proposes the same for the rewards and recognitions.
- Support in department update
- Responsible for Collection and disposal of waste.
- Plays a role in identifying and sharing the Safety concerns. Takes lead to close the Safety concerns which are assigned to the individual.
- High School + ITI mechanical/electrical
- 10+ years of experience in production and machine Maintenance in manufacturing unit
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in internal settings.
- Requires ability to take initiative to solve problems.
- Ready to work in shift operations
