Lead Full-Stack Web Developer- React l Node l Nextjs

As a Lead Full-Stack Web Developer, you will design, build, and ship end-to-end web solutions across frontend, backend, and deployment pipelines. You’ll own features from development through production, optimize performance at the edge, integrate localization frameworks, and collaborate closely with product, design, and DevOps to deliver scalable, production-grade web experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain full-stack applications using React, Next.js, Node.js, and serverless backends.
• Integrate localization/i18n frameworks to support multilingual experiences.
• Design and optimize web performance via intelligent edge caching, CDN routing, and build hooks.
• Implement end-to-end test automation and monitoring for production-grade deployments.
• Collaborate with designers, product owners, and DevOps to deliver scalable, secure digital products.
• Manage GitLab CI/CD workflows and support deployments across GitLab and Vercel environments.

As a Lead Full-Stack Web Developer, you’ll play a key role in designing and delivering end-to-end web solutions—from user-facing interfaces to backend services and CI/CD pipelines. You have strong expertise in React, Next.js, and modern web tooling. You’re comfortable working across the stack, care deeply about performance and quality, and enjoy collaborating in cross-functional teams.

You’ll own features from concept to production, optimize performance at scale, and help evolve our web infrastructure. This is a hands-on role with real impact, where your technical decisions directly shape how HERE shows up digitally.

Required Skills:

• Frontend: React, Next.js, TypeScript, CSS-in-JS (styled-components, Emotion) and TailwindCSS.
• Testing: Experience with E2E testing using Cypress or Playwright.
• Localization: Proficiency with frameworks like react-intl or next-i18next.
• CI/CD: Experience configuring CI/CD variables, managing GitLab pipelines, and integrating Git branching strategies.
• Webhooks & Previews: Experience setting up preview builds for Next.js via webhooks or CI triggers (e.g. for Contentful or DAM integration).
• CDN/Edge Delivery: Working knowledge of CloudFront, or Vercel Edge Functions for image optimization, asset caching and routing.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with content modeling in headless CMS systems
• Exposure to localization workflows or multilingual web infrastructure
• Familiarity with privacy/compliance-driven frontends (e.g. cookie banners, T&C delivery)
• Experience working with Contentful, Brandfolder, Bynder, or other CMS/DAM tools.
• Experience working in a cross-functional setup with DevOps and Security teams.
