Why This Role Matters

The Hardscape Install Technician supports the installation of hardscape features across residential and commercial projects. This role is hands-on and field-based, responsible for assisting with hardscape construction including pavers, retaining walls, base preparation, drainage, and outdoor living components such as grill islands and outdoor kitchens. The position requires physical labor, attention to detail, and the ability to work as part of a crew to deliver high-quality installations aligned with LOVING standards.

What Success Looks Like

• Assist with installation of hardscape features including pavers, retaining walls, stone, block, edging, and related materials
• Support installation of outdoor living components such as grill islands, outdoor kitchens, countertops, and associated structural elements
• Perform site preparation tasks including excavation, grading, base preparation, compaction, and trenching
• Assist with drainage installation, sleeves, conduit, and other underground components related to hardscape and outdoor living features
• Load, unload, stage, and move materials, tools, appliances, and equipment safely on job sites
• Use hand tools, power tools, and compaction equipment safely and effectively
• Assist with layout, measurements, and alignment to ensure accurate installation
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized jobsites throughout the workday
• Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and LOVING jobsite standards
• Communicate job progress, material needs, and issues to site leadership
• Clock in and out daily using the company timekeeping system
• Assist with end-of-day cleanup, equipment care, and site shutdown
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned that support the mission and core values of LOVING, ensuring alignment with our culture of community, integrity, and impact.
  
  

What Sets You Apart

• Experience in hardscape installation, landscaping, construction, or related field preferred
• Ability to perform physical labor outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Basic understanding of grading, compaction, and material placement
• Willingness to learn hardscape techniques and outdoor living installation components
• Reliable attendance and ability to follow schedules and timekeeping procedures
• Strong work ethic, dependability, and TEAM-focused attitude
• Ability to communicate effectively with crew members and leadership
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred

• Must pass a pre-employment background check

• Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy materials as required
• Valid driver’s license preferred
