Job Description

A role in the Fashion & Apparel Manufacturing and Retail Supply Chain sector focused on garment sourcing, product development, and production management for domestic and international apparel lines. The position sits within on-site merchandising teams that drive product-to-market timelines, cost targets, and quality standards across the vendor network.

Primary title: Apparel Merchandiser

Role & Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end merchandising for assigned apparel collections: product development, sampling, costing, order placement, production follow-up and shipment readiness.
Create and maintain detailed tech packs, size charts, trim lists and sample specifications; coordinate fittings and approvals with design and QA teams.
Prepare accurate costings and Bill of Materials (BOM); negotiate pricing, payment terms and lead times with vendors to meet margin and delivery targets.
Identify, qualify and develop vendor partners; monitor vendor capacity, performance and corrective actions to ensure reliability.
Track production schedules, resolve factory bottlenecks, and conduct in-line and final quality inspections to ensure compliance with specifications.
Maintain production documentation and system updates (ERP/PLM), provide regular status reports to cross-functional stakeholders and support shipment coordination.
