Full Stack Engineer

Superlaw is on a mission to rebuild how India's legal system works from the interface up. Lawyers in India today still work with slow systems, and painfully outdated interfaces.

We're changing that. We're creating AI powered experiences that reimagine legal research, drafting, and case workflows, turning hours of complexity into seconds of clarity.

We believe product design can be a force for justice and we're looking for product builders who share that belief.

What You'll Do

- Design, build, and maintain highly scalable full-stack applications.

- Develop user-facing features using modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, etc) and core web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).

- Design, build, and maintain robust backend services using Python (FastAPI, Flask, or Django).

- Develop and optimize RESTful APIs for our AI-powered products.

- Collaborate with design and AI teams to enable seamless data exchange and real-time functionality.

- Design efficient database schemas and manage data flows across relational (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL systems.

- Deploy, monitor, and scale microservices on cloud platforms like Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

- Implement robust testing, logging, and CI/CD practices for reliable, maintainable systems.

- Drive performance tuning, security best practices, and system reliability improvements across the entire stack.

What we're looking for

- 2-3 years of experience in full-stack development, with strong expertise in Python for the backend.

- Proficiency in a modern JavaScript framework (React, Vue, or etc).

- Deep understanding of core frontend technologies (HTML5, CSS3, ES6+).

- Experience with databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.

- Deep understanding of REST API design and implementation.

- Familiarity with cloud platforms (preferably GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

- Proficiency with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and testing frameworks (PyTest, Jest/Enzyme).

- Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for clean, maintainable, and scalable code.

- Bonus: Experience building AI-driven or high-throughput systems.

Nice to have

- Prior experience in legal tech, SaaS, or data-heavy applications.

- Familiarity with asynchronous programming (Celery, asyncio) for backend tasks.

- Knowledge of API documentation tools such as Swagger or Postman.

- Interest in optimizing data pipelines or integrating third-party APIs.

Location: Chennai / Hybrid (We prefer builders who can jam in person often)
