Job Description

Brixey & Meyer Capital (BMC) is growing, and we’re looking for a sharp and driven Financial Analyst to join our Portfolio Management team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in advising and supporting our portfolio companies across financial planning and analysis, while also working closely with our Senior Finance Officer and leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a direct impact on investment performance and help drive the growth of lower middle market businesses.

As a Financial Analyst, you will:

• Develop and maintain complex financial models, including three-statement forecasts, liquidity analysis, exit strategies, and covenant testing.

• Monitor and analyze performance across BMC’s portfolio companies, providing insights and actionable recommendations.

• Draft investment memoranda and internal presentations to communicate findings to the leadership team.

• Partner with portfolio companies to support strategic financial and operational initiatives.

• Review and refine work products to ensure accuracy and logical presentation.

• Assist with special projects for the BMC Leadership Team as needed.

To excel in this role, you need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field (required); advanced degrees or certifications such as CFA are a plus.

• Strong financial analysis and modeling skills, ideally with private equity or investment banking experience.

• Proven project management ability with a track record of leading initiatives to successful completion.

• Exceptional attention to detail and comfort working with complex financial data.

• Strong strategic thinking skills to evaluate opportunities and risks.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills to share insights with both internal and external stakeholders.
