Qualification: BE / B.Tech / ME / M.Tech in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering

Key Skills

• Strong fundamentals in electrical engineering, power systems, and energy systems
• Experience in low-voltage and medium-voltage electrical system design
• Proficiency in preparing Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), wiring diagrams, and electrical layouts
• Knowledge of electrical protection systems, earthing, and safety practices
• Familiarity with electrical components such as inverters, power electronics, sensors, and control panels
• Understanding of electrical testing, commissioning, and validation procedures
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems in prototype and field environments
• Experience working with R&D prototypes, pilot systems, or pre-commercial deployments
• Proficiency with standard engineering tools and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong documentation and organisational skills
  
  

Roles And Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and validate electrical systems for R&D and pilot-scale projects
• Prepare and review electrical schematics, SLDs, wiring diagrams, and system layouts
• Select electrical components, define specifications, and support procurement activities
• Integrate electrical subsystems with mechanical and control systems
• Support prototype assembly, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting
• Develop electrical test plans and assist in performance validation
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and best practices
• Maintain accurate technical documentation, drawings, and revision records
• Support field deployment activities and resolve site-level electrical issues
• Participate in design reviews and technical decision-making discussions
• Guide junior engineers and technicians during build and testing phases
  
  

Leadership Progression Expectations

This role is designed to evolve into a technical leadership position. Over time, the engineer will be expected to:

• Take ownership of end-to-end electrical system architecture
• Lead electrical design reviews and validation activities
• Act as the technical authority for electrical decisions within the project
• Define electrical standards and best practices across projects
• Mentor junior electrical engineers and technicians
